Work & Play update

As our recent Work & Play programme draws to an end there is some great activity some of the artists are still involved with.

Designer and screenprinter, Sophie McIntosh is showing the results of Work & Play funded ‘Overworked‘, which involved the process of different artists responding to and ‘overworking’ each others work, in an upcoming exhibition at Crown Street Gallery, Darlington. The exhibition will also include show of Sophie’s own work and celebrate the art of screenprinting. The exhibition is on from Sat 22nd March until Sat 19th April.

Emerging artist and sculptor, Scott Marks will be showing new sculptural pieces created in response to the Work & Play theme at Gilkes Street Gallery, Middlesbrough from Sat 8th until Sat 22nd February.

After his Work & Play residency at Lingfield Point, Darlington and exhibition at The Festival of Thrift on the same site in September last year, painter James Paterson has extended his relationship with site owners Marchday to continue showing work there. See photos below –
