On Saturday 19th October, from 1pm – 6pm we’ll be opening the doors at Dundas House in Middlesbrough to the public and inviting visitors to see the variety of our spaces and how we use them.
The event will include artists in their studios, alongside exhibitions and installations of artists work. Visitors can take a roof top tour for a great view of Middlesbrough and the surrounding area, as well as finding out about printmaking in The Print Room and even have a go at making a print.

Highlights include –
- Artist Callum Whitley will be showing new work in our temporary space inside Dundas Arcade (previously Yorkshire Linen shop next to Boyes), which can be seen for one day only. Callum also has work installed in his studio for visitors to see on the day
- Roberto Picciau and Scott Marks will be opening their studio as well as showing new sculptural works in The Coup project space on the roof of Dundas House.
- Artists Ingi Jensson and Shirley Ann Wood will be offering visitors an opportunity to have a go at illustration techniques and digital animation workshops, 2pm – 5pm.
- Sara Cooper will be showing new work and bringing part of The Dorman Museum’s handling collection for visitors to learn more about here residency around The Nelson Collection of birds, their nests and eggs.
